Meeting Information for February 2004

The next meeting of the LA Area DB2 User Group will be held on February 5, 2004 at the Sheraton Cerritos. The meeting room will open at 8:30am for coffee and refreshments with the first presentation beginning at 9:00.

PRESENTER: Ben Prusinski

Ben Prusinski is a database administrator at LPL Financial Services with 12 years
of database experience and network administration background with DB2 UDB,
Oracle and SQL Server database environments on UNIX and Windows NT/2000.

He has extensive database production support and implementation background
with database server migrations, performance tuning and backup/recovery of very large databases.

PRESENTATION:  Upgrading your complex DB2 UDB Database Environment

Moving large database environments to new hardware, operating system and database platforms is a complex and challenging task that requires extensive planning and experience to minimize downtime and maximize uptime when migrating your production, quality assurance and development databases.

This presentation will serve as a workshop to guide you in your migration in the best possible manner.
