Meeting Information for June 2002

The next meeting of the LA Area DB2 User Group will be held on June 6, 2002 at the Sheraton Cerritos. This is a full day vendor sponsored presentation which includes early coffee and continental breakfast and a catered lunch. The meeting room will open at 8:30 A for coffee and refreshments with the first presentation beginning around 9:30.

Presenter Bio:

John Mckenny is the Director of BMC's DB2 Performance and Patrol database development teams in Houston, Austin and San Jose. In this role John responsibilities include setting BMC's DB2 product strategy and overseeing all aspects of the software engineering process. John joined BMC in
1995 as a member of the DB2 R&D team where he spent time testing, supporting, developing and managing several BMC products prior to assuming his current role. Prior to joining BMC, John spent 15 years as a DB2 and IMS DBA in the transportation and insurance industries.

Julius Kennedy is a software consultant at BMC Software. His 23 years of data processing experience was gained working as an MVS and DB2 system programmer and DB2 DBA. Julius comes to BMC Software from Nations Bank in Charlotte NC. His primary responsibility was DB2 Disaster Recovery
of multiple Nations Bank Data Centers across the Country. Prior to Nations Bank Julius worked at IBM Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2 at Santa Teresa Development Labs.

Todd Mollenhauer has supported the western United States on behalf of BMC for the last 5 years and has an extensive knowledge of BMC's DB2 product line. Previous to BMC Mr. Mollenhuaer worked for Pacific Bell as a DB2 DBA and systems programmer for 13 years.
