Notice to Members

March 28, 2001

To: Los Angeles Area DB2 Users

The next meeting of the Los Angeles Area DB2 User Group will be on Thursday, March 1, at the Sequoia Conference Center in Buena Park.

Directions: The Sequoia Conference Center is located at 7530 Orangethorpe Avenue, Buena Park, CA. Telephone is (714) 670-9252. It is one block north of the 91 Freeway at the Beach Boulevard exit (same exit as for Knott’s Berry Farm).

Refreshments will be served at 8:30 am; the presentation will begin at about 9:00 a.m. and end at about 12:00.

APRIL PROGRAM

DB2 UDB 7.2 for Distributed Systems  (DB2 UDB for NT, DB2 UDB for UNIX, DB2 for OS/2, etc.). In depth look at the new features and functions of the most technology sophisticated multi-platform DBMS available presented by Victoria Priest.

Victoria Priest is a Software IT Specialist for IBM Data Management Solutions.

She has 16 years of experience in the information technology industry and has been with IBM for 8 months. Her areas of expertise include data re-hosting, application development, middleware, DB2, Sybase and BMC replication products, Windows, and project management.

STEERING COMMITTEE

We are actively looking for new members to help out in our steering committee. We need some of your help to keep the group going with quality presentations and activities. If you think you might be interested and would like to know more about what’s involved, please contact any member of the steering committee.
