The next meeting of the Los Angeles Area DB2 User Group will be on Thursday, November 2nd, at the Sequoia Conference Center in Buena Park. Directions: The Sequoia Conference Center is located at 7530 Orangethorpe Avenue, Buena Park, CA. Telephone is (714) 670-9252. It is one block north of the 91 Freeway at the Beach Boulevard exit (same exit as for Knott’s Berry Farm). Refreshments will be served at 8:30 am; the presentations will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at about 12:00.
We are actively looking for new members to help out in our steering committee. We need some of your help to keep the group going with quality presentations and activities. If you think you might be interested and would like to know more about what’s involved, please give me a call – (562) 570-6317.
Roger Miller is our guest speaker for the November meeting. Roger is the Chief Architect of DB2 UDB for OS/390 and works in the DB2 Development Section of IBM’s Silicon Valley Lab in San Jose.
Roger will be talking about DB2 UDB for OS/390 Version 6 and 7. Additionally, he will cover the new Data Management Tools, DB2, new functions, and features as well as future enhancements in the newest releases of DB2 UDB.
